The story
A fork of an open-source launcher with a new interface. On Apple Silicon it runs the game natively without an emulator; on Windows it finds and starts the official edition. Worlds back themselves up when the game closes, packs install by drag and drop, and a crash offers a safe-mode restart.
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Hard parts cleared
- Two game backends behind one interface, with worlds, packs and backups as shared code.
- Native helpers in Swift and Objective-C++ with a Keychain-backed credential store, and a Windows build cross-compiled on the Mac.
- Traced why no Bedrock player could join the hosted server: the network dropped one handshake reply. Moved Bedrock to a WebRTC transport so it connects.
